Landmark project - Hackwood Farm been awarded to The Harmony Trust

We are very delighted to have been awarded sponsorship of a brand new school.  Based in Radbourne Lane, Mickleover, Derby.

Hackwood Primary School is a £5 million development which will initially provide more than 200 school places for children living on the Hackwood Farm housing estate.

Work on the build, which is being project managed by Pick Everard, should take just nine months to complete. The reason why Morgan Sindall is able to construct the building so quickly is because much of the actual structure will have been put together off-site.

This means that the school is expected to be completed in time for the new academic year, starting in September 2019.

Adrian Ceney, partner at Pick Everard, said: “We’re delighted to be involved in a landmark project, which will complete the Hackwood Farm estate and benefit hundreds of children.

“The school is currently being fabricated off-site in Hull – the first of its kind in the UK – and will be delivered to Derby ahead of the start of the academic year in 2019.
