Our Early Years Provision - Oldham

The Harmony Trust provides Pre-school and Nursery provision in eligible academies across Oldham and the North West. Applications for places are managed directly by each academy.

Provision operates inline with:

  • Government Early Years funding requirements

  • Local Authority guidance

  • The Harmony Trust Pre-School and Nursery Admissions Policy

Admissions to Pre-School and Nursery

Applications should be made directly to the academy office.

Places are allocated fairly and consistently inline with the Trust admissions criteria, including:

  • Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan naming the academy

  • Vulnerable children as identified by the Local Authority

  • Catchment and sibling considerations

A Pre-School or Nursery place does not guarantee admission to Reception.

Funded Early Education Entitlement

Two Year Old Funding

Some two year olds may be eligible for 15 funded hours per week. This is a targeted offer for eligible families and is available from the term after the child's second birthday.

Parents must apply via the Local Authority and provide a valid funding code. Funding cannot be confirmed without a valid code.

Three and Four Year Old Funding

All children are entitled to:

  • 15 funded hours per week (universal entitlement)

Eligible working family may also access:

  • Up to 30 funded hours per week

Funding is term-time only and is available for the term after a child's third birthday. To register for a 30 hour funded place parents must register online at Apply for free childcare if you're working - GOV.UK Parents must provide and regularly reconfirm a valid funding code. The Academy cannot hold a place where eligibility is unconfirmed.

Session Times

Each Academy publishes its Pre-school and Nursery session timings on their own website. Session availability is subject to capacity.

Charges for Additional Hours

Families may choose to purchase additional hours beyond funded entitlement where available.

Charges:

  • Apply only to additional hours

  • Must be paid in advance via ParentPay

  • Are not refundable for absence or illness

  • Are reviewed annually

Meals and Snacks

Across the Trust :

  • Hot meals are available at a standard charge of £2.64 per day

  • Meals must be pre-booked and paid for in advance

  • Children receive a daily snack as part of their Nursery or Preschool session

  • Where applicable, families may make a voluntary contribution towards snack provision. This contribution is optional.
